Kubrick Co-Founders named among UK’s Top 50 Most Ambitious Business
Leaders for 2021.
Kubrick co-founders Tim Smeaton and Simon Walker have been named in
the LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders list, recognizing their
leadership and the rapid growth of Kubrick Group.
The honor follows a series of major achievements for Kubrick,
including being named the UK’s second fastest-growing private company in
the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 and Europe’s fastest-growing
consultancy in the Financial Times 1000.
Now in its fourth year and supported by The Times, the LDC
Top 50 celebrates outstanding leaders behind some of the UK’s most
successful mid-sized businesses. This year’s program received more than
600 nominations, highlighting exceptional leadership during a period of
unprecedented economic and social disruption.
Collectively, the Top 50 leaders employ more than 9,500 people and
contribute over £1.2 billion to the UK economy. Kubrick alone employs
around 800 people, with continued growth planned in the UK and
internationally, including expansion in the US.
Reflecting on the recognition, Tim Smeaton said:
“We founded Kubrick to address the digital skills gap and create
meaningful career opportunities. From early on, we realized we were
building a purpose-driven business that could genuinely change
lives.”
Simon Walker added:
“We help talented graduates build careers in the most in-demand
technology fields while supporting our clients’ transformation. By
rethinking traditional consulting, we’re creating long-term value for
both people and organizations.”
John Garner of LDC commented:
“Despite extraordinary challenges, this year’s Top 50 leaders have
shown remarkable resilience and ambition. Their achievements demonstrate
the lasting impact of strong, purpose-led leadership.”
This recognition reinforces Kubrick’s continued commitment to
building diverse, high-performing technology teams and helping
organizations succeed in an increasingly digital world.
