Women in Data come to Kubrick

Kubrick partners with Women in Data to reunite members of the community at Kubrick HQ.

Kubrick recently partnered with Women in Data to host an in-person reunion at its London headquarters, bringing together leaders and rising talent from across the data and technology community.

On November 25, alumni of Women in Data’s Twenty in Data & Technology awards gathered for the first time in more than 20 months as part of the organization’s annual WiDWeek program. The event, delivered in partnership with Kubrick and Snowflake, formed a key moment in a week of webinars, panel discussions, and community-led sessions.

The reception welcomed professionals from across the UK to reconnect, share experiences, and celebrate achievements in data and technology.

Kubrick Managing Partner Simon Walker, a long-standing partner and ally of Women in Data, supported the event and participated in the WiDWeek panel, The Importance of Being an Ally. Reflecting on the evening, he said:

“Our partnership with Women in Data means a great deal to me, both personally and professionally. Allyship requires action, not just words, and hosting this event was one way to put that into practice. It was a privilege to bring together so many inspiring leaders and emerging voices in our space. I look forward to seeing members of the Kubrick Alumni community featured on the Twenty in Data & Technology list in the years ahead.”

The reunion was organized by Women in Data Founder Roisin McCarthy and Chair Payal Jain.

Speaking after the event, Roisin McCarthy highlighted the shared mission behind the partnership:

“Futureproofing the workforce and expanding access to next-generation data skills are essential to addressing the industry’s skills gap. Kubrick’s mission closely aligns with ours, and together we can create meaningful change for women and underrepresented communities while strengthening the technology sector.”

The event provided a valuable opportunity for members of the Women in Data community to reconnect following the disruption of recent years and reinforced the importance of building inclusive, supportive professional networks.

Kubrick remains committed to working with partners such as Women in Data to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion across the data, AI, and cloud ecosystem.
